When I travel one of my favorite activities is to try local cuisine and delicacies. In this Nepal travel vlog I am exploring Kathmandu to find the best Dal Bhat, which is a staple food that the Nepali people eat almost everyday. I happen to randomly run into a small food stand in Kathmandu and the local people were sure to let me know that this place is a famous Dal Bhat spot in the area. Markets & Bazaars

When I travel and make travel content one of my favorite things to cover are local market and bazaars. In this Ethiopia travel vlog I am in the largest outdoor market in Africa known as Merkato in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Merkato is so huge that you might think it has its own postal code! It's like a mini city within Addis Ababa, with its own traffic jams and hidden treasures. Merkato Addis is the place where you can find anything and everything, from spices that make you sneeze just by looking at them to a pair of shoes that might have walked a mile or two already. Merkato is a melting pot of cultures and cuisines. You can taste the whole of Ethiopia in one visit, from spicy stews to injera so fluffy you could use it as a pillow. Culture

When I travel and make travel content one of the highlights for me is communicating and learning the true culture of the country by speaking with the local people. In this Philippines travel vlog I was in a city known as Zamboanga in the Mindanao section of the Philippines. Many people warned me that this area of Mindanao in the Philippines is not safe but I did not experience that. The local Filipino people in Zamboanga were some of the nicest and most welcoming people I met during my travels. They really wanted to embrace me as a rare foreigner traveling to their city. Anyway Filipino people are in general some of the warmest and most welcoming people with a rich culture and history, which makes the Philippines one of my favorite travel destinations. My name is Myer and I love to travel hence the name Myer Travels. I am from the USA, and I decided to leave behind the mundane 9-5 work life to pursue a long time dream of traveling full-time.
